Doors open at 5:30 pm
Meeting starts at 6:00 pm
Our speaker for the Fall Meeting, Paula Rieker, has studied and written about the history of the north side of Canyon Lake, home of the large 711 Ranch. A portion of the area lies beneath Canyon Lake. And, as is happening throughout the Texas Hill Country, the ranch was sold and now includes a large residential subdivision, Mystic Shores. Paula will take us back in time, telling of the people who came before us in this area: ancient man, heroes of the Texas Revolution, early Texas railroads, German and other settlers and later ranchers.
What happened here happened all around us! Join us to hear amazing stories within Paula’s new book, “The Heritage Lands of the 711 Ranch”. 711ranchhistory.com
